CAMA announced on 27th of December 2021 the resumption of the United Nations and International Humanitarian Organizations flights operating in Yemen to Sanaa International Airport, starting from 27th of December 2021 after the defect in the telecommunications and air navigational systems was temporarily fixed.

CAMA said, in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the tele-communications and airnavigational systems at Sana'a International Airport, which were defected during the last week, were temporarily repaired, which led to the suspension of the civil air traffic at the airport.

The statement also pointed out that the aggression prevented the entry of tele-communication and air navigational systems, which CAMA had purchased for Sana'a Airport to replace the old equipment, which exacerbated the problem and led to the failure of these systems.

In the meantime, CAMA confirmed that it had contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the United Nations and all International Organizations operating in Yemen that Sana'a International Airport is ready to receive all flights starting from Monday, December 27th, 2021.

She pointed out that the United Nations and international organizations in Yemen were informed that the long-term continuity of the work of these agencies was not guaranteed, given their age.

The statement held the United Nations and International Organizations fully responsible for the landing and take-off of its flights to and from Sanaa airport in the event of a sudden failure of these systems, pointing to the lack of fuel supply for aircraft due to the bombing of the oil company's facility at Sana'a Airport.

Meanwhile, CAMA called on the United Nations to fulfill its obligations and cooperate quickly by transporting and delivering the recently agreed systems that are currently locted in Djibouti, and transferring them to Sana’a Airport for installation to ensure the security and safety of the arrival and departure of all flights to Sana’a Airport.

CAMA also held the aggression coalition responsible for the consequences of targeting the airport and seizing its equipment.
