Airline pilot license

1 General conditions (requirements) for issuing an airline pilot license/class of aircraft

1. Fill out the application form for issuing the license in clear writing and have it signed by the applicant for the license.

2. A request from the company where the applicant works to issue the license specifying the approximate date for performing the (simulated flight) of the model.

3. The age of the license applicant must not be less than (18 years) and the license applicant must attach a copy of the ID card, passport, or family card (if he is Yemeni) or a copy of the passport (if he is Arab or foreign).

4. Holding a valid commercial pilot license issued by the Authority.

5. A copy of a valid medical evaluation certificate (first class) issued by an accredited medical examiner, taking into account the following:

A- The validity period of the medical evaluation certificate is (12 months) starting from the date of the medical evaluation.

B- When holders of airline pilot licenses participating in single-crew commercial transport operations carrying passengers exceed the age of (40) years, the period of validity of the medical evaluation must be reduced from (12 months) to (6 months).

C - When holders of airline pilot licenses working on commercial transport operations exceed the age of (60) years, the period of validity of the medical evaluation must be reduced from (12 months) to (6 months).

6. A copy of the certificate of successful completion of theoretical study at the airline pilot level, issued by an accredited training center.

7. A copy of the result of successfully passing the written exams issued by the Authority during the period of (24 months) preceding the date of submitting the application. Note that the result of successfully passing the written exams is valid for a period of (24 months), and the result is considered canceled or expired if the period exceeds (24). (monthly) and the written tests are repeated again by the Authority in accordance with the approved test regulations and schedules.

8. A copy of the license applicant’s flight hours record, showing the flight hours required for issuance, which are (1500) flight hours as commander and (2800) flight hours as assistant, including the following:

A- (500) hours as a pilot under supervision or (250) hours as a pilot, including at least (70) hours as a pilot and the additional flight hours required as a pilot under supervision.

B- (200) hours of flying across the country, including at least (100) hours as an aircraft pilot or as a supervised aircraft pilot.

C - (75) hours of automatic flight, of which no more than (30) hours of automatic flight are permissible on the simulator.

D- (100) hours of night flying as an aircraft pilot or co-pilot.

E- At least 10 flight hours during the 6 months preceding the date of issuance.

F- It is possible to add (100) hours of simulator flight, with a maximum of (25) hours of simulator flight when training on adding the model to complete the hours of issuance - if necessary.

9. Possessing a valid automatic flight qualification.

10. A colored personal photo (size 2 x 3) with a blue background.

11. After completing the hours required for issuance, the practical test form is prepared in preparation for conducting the practical test by an accredited inspector appointed for this purpose. The issuance takes place within (30 days) from the date of taking the practical test, and if it is not issued within this period, the practical test must be retaken again. Note that the practical test is valid for a period of (12 months) starting from the date of the test and ending at the end of the next month.

12. A copy of the language proficiency assessment certificate issued by a body accredited to conduct language proficiency tests in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), provided that the applicant achieves the fourth level (operational level) as a minimum, and that the evaluation is conducted in several stages according to the ability and competence of each person. person and according to the following criteria:

A- Those who obtained the fourth level (operational level) will be re-evaluated linguistically every (3) years.

B- Those who obtained the fifth level (extended level) will be re-evaluated linguistically every (6) years.

C- Those who have achieved the sixth level (knowledge level) will be exempted from any other language assessment.

13. Pay the due fees in cash in the amount of (25,000) riyals and attach a copy of the fees receipt.

14. The period of validity of the leave (12 months) starting from the date of issuance of the leave and ending at the end of the month.

15. Privileges of an airline pilot license holder (aircraft category) and the conditions that must be observed when exercising these privileges:

A - Exercising all the privileges of a holder of a private pilot and commercial pilot license for the category of aircraft in the event that he holds an instrument flight qualification.

B - Working as a pilot for a commercial air transport aircraft licensed to operate with more than one pilot. C - Working as a pilot for a commercial air transport aircraft approved for operation with a single pilot - Working as a co-pilot on an aircraft whose operation requires the presence of a co-pilot - Before exercising night flight privileges, the license holder must be He has received dual training in night flying, including take-off, landing, and navigation on aircraft

F- Leave privileges for holders of an airline pilot license are reduced when they reach the age of (60) years and (65) years.
