Commercial pilot license

1- General conditions (requirements) for issuing a commercial pilot license/class of aircraft

 

1. Fill out the application form for issuing the license in clear writing and have it signed by the applicant for the license.

2. Holding a valid private pilot license issued by the Authority.

3. The age of the license applicant must not be less than (18 years) and the license applicant must attach a copy of the ID card, passport, or family card (if he is Yemeni) or a copy of the passport (if he is Arab or foreign)

4. A copy of a valid medical evaluation certificate (first class) issued by an accredited medical examiner, taking into account the following:

A- The validity period of the medical evaluation certificate is (12 months) starting from the date of the medical evaluation.

B- When holders of commercial pilot licenses participating in single-crew commercial transport operations carrying passengers exceed the age of (40) years, the period of validity of the medical evaluation must be reduced from (12 months) to (6 months).

C - When holders of commercial pilot licenses working on commercial transport operations exceed the age of (60) years, the period of validity of the medical evaluation must be reduced from (12 months) to (6 months).

5. A copy of the certificate of successful completion of theoretical study at the commercial pilot level, issued by an accredited training center

6. A copy of the result of successfully passing the written exams issued by the Authority during the period (24 months) preceding the date of submission of the application. Note that the result of successfully passing the written exams is valid for a period of (24 months) and the result is considered canceled or expired if the period exceeds (24 months). (The written tests are repeated again by the Authority in accordance with the approved test regulations and schedules.

7. An original of the practical test form signed by an accredited air inspector stating that the license applicant successfully passed the practical and oral test during the (12 months) preceding the date of submitting the application. Note that the validity period of the practical test is (12 months) starting from the date of the test and ending at the end of the month. The practical test is considered canceled or terminated if the period exceeds (12 months) and is repeated again by a tester approved by the Authority.

8. A copy of the license applicant’s flight hours record, indicating the flight hours that qualify for obtaining the license, which is the performance of no less than (150 hours) of flying from an accredited training center in the Republic of Yemen or (200 hours) of flying from any other training center (which can be performed) 10 hours (including a simulator flight) including:

A- (70 hours) pilot flight if it is from an accredited training center in the Republic of Yemen, or (100 hours) from any other training center.

B- (20 hours) of flying across the country as a pilot, including (5 hours) of solo flight, including a flight of no less than (540) kilometers (300 nautical miles), during which he makes at least two full landings at two different airports.

C- (10 hours) instrument flight, including (5 hours) simulator flight on the simulator flight device.

D- To exercise leave privileges at night, five hours of solo night flight must be carried out, including five take-offs and five landings. If this is not implemented, the leave will be restricted to night flight.

9. 10 hours of solo flight during the 6 months preceding the date of issuance.

10. A colored personal photo (size 2 x 3) with a blue background.

11. A copy of the language proficiency assessment certificate issued by an authorized body to conduct language proficiency tests in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), provided that the applicant achieves the fourth level (operational level) as a minimum, and that the evaluation is conducted in several stages according to the ability and competence of each person. person and according to the following criteria:

A- Those who obtained the fourth level (operational level) will be re-evaluated linguistically every (3) years.

B- Those who obtained the fifth level (extended level) will be re-evaluated linguistically every (6) years.

C- Those who have achieved the sixth level (knowledge level) will be exempted from any other language assessment.
