Minister of Transport Stresses Importance of Preserving Sana’a International Airport’s Lands and Parameter

The Minister of Transport- Amer Al-Marani stressed the importance of preserving the lands and parameter of Sana’a International Airport from assaults. The Minister- Al-marani warned during his visit to the lands and parameter of the airport against the repeated assaults and said: “the lands and parameter of the airport is a red line and those who commit the assaults will be punished because such lands belonged to the airport and homeland.  

Al-Marani also affirmed that he will exert his best efforts to restrict this phenomenon which impedes development and construction in the field of civil aviation and air navigation in the Republic of Yemen. He pointed out that the assaulters are serving the aggression and seeking to achieve its goals and plots.     

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport together with the Deputy Minister of Transport for Air Transport Sector- Abdullah Al-Ansi, Dr. Mohammed Abdulkader- Chairman of CAMA looked at the lands allocated for the expansion works of Sana’a airport aiming to develop and modernize it. The Minister also visited terminal building looking at the services that are provided and instructed CAMA to rapidly complete the maintenance works which will contribute in boosting and developing the work.  

During the visit, the Minister of Transport listened to an explanation from the Director General of the airport- Khaled Al-Sahyef about the work progress in the airport and the services that are provided to the daily flights of the UN and its Humanitarian Organizations working in Yemen. pointing out to the technical and operational readiness of the airport and the services that are provided to the aircraft of the UN and its belonged organizations, stressing that the airport is providing its services in accordance with the international requirements approved by the ICAO.
