A meeting was held on 21st of May 2023 in Sana'a, which included the Ministers of Transport,202- Abdul Wahhab Al-Durra, and Minister of Public Works and Roads- Ghaleb Mutlaq, discussed a mechanism for developing joint cooperation in executing Sana'a International Airport projects.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Chairman of CAMA- Dr. Muhammad Abdulkader, and the Acting Yemeni Airlines- Khalil Jahaf, reviewed the important projects to be executed at Sana'a Airport, including the construction of the fence.
The Minister of Transport also stressed on the importance of the Ministry of Works' role in providing technical and engineering support in a way that contributes to the promotion of projects, praising the engineering and technical expertise of the Ministry.
He stated that the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority are seeking, during the coming period, to execute expansion projects at the airport, pointing to the interest of the President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana'a Airport and providing the necessary support for the execution of development projects.
In turn, the Minister of Works affirmed the Ministry's readiness to provide aspects of technical and engineering support in a way that contributes to the development of the airport, indicating that Sana'a International Airport is the country's main destination and provides services to all the Yemeni people, and everything necessary to develop and modernize its facilities must be executed.
The meeting was attended by the assistant deputies of the authority for the aviation safety sector- Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Talib, the meteorology sector- Eng. Muhammad Saeed, the airports sector- Yahya Al-Kohlani, directors of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, and projects in the authority- Dr. Faraj Ba'ather.
