Discussing Renovation and Expansion of Terminal Building of Sana’a International Airport

the terminal building of Sana’a International Airport in accordance with the National Vision in its first phase.

The meeting- that was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abdulkader- Chairman of CAMA, Mr. Raed Talib Jabal- Deputy Chairman of CAMA, Mr. Abdullah Al-Ansi- Deputy Minister of Transport for Air Transport Sector, Asst. Deputies Chairman of CAMA and Mr. Khaled Al-Shayef- Director General of Sana’a International Airport- discussed- reviewed the engineering studies and drawings that were prepared by the technical and engineering cadres of CAMA in accordance with the ICAO’s standards and requirements.

The meeting also addressed the big areas that were considered in the study of renovation and expansion aimed to alleviate passengers’ crowds through constructing wider lounges for arrivals, departures, transit and other engineering constructions of priority.

Meanwhile, H.E. Minister of Transport stressed on the importance of cooperation and efforts consolidation to execute the project which will form a typical leap in the field of local and international air navigation. He also clarified that such project came within the projects included in the matrix of the National Vision for building the new state of Yemen in the phase of economic recovery and revival in 2020.

He indicated that the engineering designs and the utilization of the big areas will greatly minimize the crowds suffered by the passengers in the airport which is considered the main gate of Yemen.
