Discussing CAMA’s Work Development Mechanism

CAMA blamed the countries of the aggression, and the international community, for the killing, kidnapping, death and suffering of Yemeni travelers as a result of their travel through the so-called “legitimate areas”. The official Spokesman of CAMA-Director General of air transport- Dr. Mazen Ghanem pointed out to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that thousands of Yemeni expatriates are waiting for the opening of Sana'a International Airport to return to the homeland.

He condemned the murder and looting of the property of the expatriate- Abdul-Malik Al-Sanabani, on his way to return to the homeland, at the hands of criminal elements in the so-called “legitimate areas”, calling on the Security Council to open Sanaa airport without any conditions, to protect and save the lives of travelers. He also wondered: "How long will the international community remain silent about the crimes committed against the Yemeni people, and be unable to open Sana'a International Airport, which is technically ready, the safest airport for all the Yemenis, and the closest distance to two-thirds of the population of the Republic of Yemen."

In the meantime, Ghanem stressed that Sana'a International Airport is a civilian airport subject to all the international procedures and standards, and closing it violates the international laws and treaties, and amounts to a war crime. The Spokesman of CAMA called on the Yemeni communities abroad and the free people of the world to organize vigils to demand the lifting of the ban on Sana'a International Airport, as it is a popular and humanitarian demand.
