Civil Aviation: The Continued Targeting of Sana'a International Airport by the Aggression Affects Air Navigation

The Deputy Chairman of CAMA- Raed Jabal said that the continued targeting by the aggression coalition of the vicinity and facilities of Sana'a International Airport will negatively affect the air navigation, security and safety of the airport, its technical readiness and the services that are provided to the UN and International Humanitarian and Relief Organizations flights operating in Yemen.Jabal also stressed to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the warplanes of the aggression's coalition have deliberately and continuously since the beginning of the aggression targeted Sana'a airport in a desperate attempt to paralyze its air navigation movement, knowing its importance to the Yemeni people in general and the United Nations and International Humanitarian Organizations in particular. Meanwhile, he pointed out that the continuous bombing and targeting by the Saudi-Led Coalition Aggression on Sana'a International Airport threatens the security and safety of the airport and affects its operations. He renewed his call to the United Nations to fulfill their obligations to protect the airport from any targeting to ensure the provision of its navigational and operational services to the flights of the United Nations, its affiliated organizations and International Humanitarian Organizations in Yemen. In the meantime, Jabal held the Saudi and Emirati aggression the consequences of the continued targeting of Sana'a International Civilian Airport, which operates in accordance with the international requirements and conditions applicable at the international airports and by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

 

 The Deputy Chairman of CAMA called on the humanitarian organizations and those working in the field of aviation to condemn and criminalize this brutal aggression on Sana'a Airport, as it is the only outlet for providing services to the United Nations, its organizations and humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.
