On 26th August 2024, the Chairman of CAMA- Mr. Yahya Al-Sayyani, and the Authority’s Deputy Chairman- Arif Al-Ashram, reviewed all the activities and programs executed at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology and the training courses organized by the Authority at the Institute.
The Chairman of CAMA stressed on the importance of developing the training curricula and improving the training process at the Institute.
He said, “Training and qualification are the basis for the progress and development of peoples, and developed countries throughwhich they compete for in all the sciences and the methodology of scientific and practical development.” He also stressed that qualification contributes to the quality of performance in the different fields of construction and development.
The Chairman of CAMA praised the level of performance and achievement reached by the Institute in the process of training and qualification in the field of civil aviation and meteorology and the modern equipment that were provided to the Institute... in a positive step that deserves praise and appreciation by the Institute’s management and cadres.
The Chairman along with the Deputy Chairman of the Authority also held a meeting with the cadres and employees of the Institute, presenting them with a picture of the developments at the level of the Authority’s work, and the visions, ambitions and opinions that will be worked on in the future. He asked everyone to come together and cooperate to execute the plans, programs and projects in a way that suits the stage.
He also expressed the aspiration of the Authority’s presidency for the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Institute to be a model in developing the training process for the Authority’s cadres and scientists in the field of aviation, competing with the developed countries with their curricula and qualifying cadres capable of comprehensive construction and development.
The Chairman accompanied by the Authority’s Deputy, listened from the Dean of the Institute- Dr. Naji Al-Sohmi, to an explanation about the progress of the training in accordance with the plans and studies that were prepared.
Al-Sahmi stated that the institute provides training services in accordance with the international standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) through a training staff with international experience and advanced, modern curricula technically, professionally and administratively.
He also pointed out that the Institute's plans have been drawn up in the field of training and qualification during the next phase, which will contribute to strengthening and developing the field of civil aviation and meteorology. He praised the interest of the Authority's presidency in the Aviation Institute and supporting training and qualification efforts.
