CAMA’s Board of Directors Discuss National Vision Second Phase Projects

CAMA’s Board of Directors discussed in its meeting on , chaired by H.E. Minister of Transport- Major General/ Zakaria Al-Shami, the strategic projects included in the National Vision in its second phase. The meeting focused on priority projects for the development of air navigation in accordance with the standards and requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), most notably the project to develop and modernize Sana’a International Airport. The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of CAMA’s Board of Directors- Dr. Mohammed Abdulkader, also discussed the mechanism for improving the revenues and finding other sources to ensure the continuity of CAMA’s work, especially in light of the continuing aggression and blockade.Moreover, it addressed the technical and professional aspects and mechanisms of the organizational restructuring of CAMA in accordance with the global developments and the requirements of ICAO, in addition to setting up a plan for training and rehabilitation, especially in the technical and professional fields. In the meeting, the Minister of Transport stressed on the importance of developing Sana'a Airport as it is the gateway to Yemen, pointing to the Supreme Political Council’s interest in completing the project of modernizing and developing Sana’a airport during the next phase. Whereas, the Chairman of CAMA stressed that CAMA is working in accordance with the international requirements of the ICAO; indicating that CAMA, despite the aggression and blockade, provides its air navigation services for civil aviation and is working on developing its sectors.
