CAMA, represented by Sana'a International Airport, honored on 10th March 2022 the first generation of the airport'sleaders, in appreciation of their efforts in serving aviation and air navigation at Sana'a Airport. In the honoring ceremony, the Deputy Chairman of CAMA- Raed Talib Jabal affirmed the interest of CAMA in the previous leaders who have a long history in the field of civil aviation, technical and vocational training in this field.
He also pointed out the importance of honoring these leaders who contributed to the development of civil aviation fields and the qualification of many cadres. In turn, the Director General of Sana'a International Airport- Khaled Al-Shayef considered the honor as the least duty that can be presented to these technical and professional missions; praising the keenness of the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and CAMA to develop and modernize Sana'a Airport to be in full readiness in accordance with international requirements.
For his part, the Ministry of Transport advisor and the former director of Sanaa Airport- Ahmed Mayad, in the honorable speech, expressed his thanks for this kind gesture from the leadership of CAMA.
At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by the Director General of Air Transport and the official spokesman of CAMA- Dr. Mazen Ghanem, and the Deputy Director of Sanaa Airport- Aossan Jarallah Omar, shields and symbolic gifts were distributed to the first generation of the former leaders of Sana’a International Airport, namely:
Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Ansi
- Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Kohlani, Mr. Najeeb Kamel, Mr. Ahmed Ahmed Mayad, Mr. Abdullah Ali Al-Ansi, Mr. Naji Abdullah Al-Moraqab,
- Mr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Shayef and Mr. Ali Abu Al-Regal- former Deputy of the Ministry of Works and responsible for the Sana’a International Airport project in the seventies.
In addition, the Major General/ Mohammed Abdullah Al-Faqih was honored and received the authority’s shield of the first degree at his home during the visit of the Director General of Sana’a Airport to him to check on his health.
The sons of the deceased airport general managers, the late Major General / Ali Mohammed Al-Arashi and the late Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al-Sairafi were also honored at Sana'a Airport.
